Objective
The objective of this project was to develop a note-typing application on the Raspberry Pi, aimed at providing an alternative to the notes applications on smartphones, which can quickly become a source of distraction, with social media applications such as TikTok and Instagram in easy reach. By using the Raspberry Pi platform, we were able to create a simple environment for users to type notes in using the PiTFT touch-screen device that was easy to use, and that did not require sacrificing the benefits of the smartphone apps such as automatic saving and being able to send the notes to other people. Additionally, the project aimed to explore the possibilities of the Raspberry Pi platform as an embedded system, and showcase its potential for developing practical solutions that can benefit users.
